If these issues were brought to the attention of the TSA before he went public with them and they were ignored then he may get some sympathy from me. Otherwise I hope they throw away the key, he's only looking for attention.
He wasn't looking for attention, he was directing attention.
I won't fly til these neanderthals are removed from OUR airports.
Hey don't be blamin the neanderthals Huh? Neanderthals don't go no where with out spears and axes made of wood and stone. Hell they didn't even know what nail clippers are!
I have a big problem with the loss of the pilots cc permit, which is infringment to have to have one in the first place and again to take it away, and for just what???
It was good of him to expose a weakness, but amazingly dumb to advertize it in the internet to the terrorists.
The pilot only showed what nearly everyone already knew. The lack of screening of anyone who comes in close contact with planes other than the passengers/pilots/flight attendants has been in the news many times since the full-body scans and extreme pat downs have been in effect. Everyone knows the TSA is a total joke when it comes to actual security, and that planes are exposed and vulnerable anywhere on the tarmac or at the gates.
And contrary to what an earlier poster said, the extreme, fascist actions of the TSA have gotten much worse under the Obama Admin.

Both Holder and Napaleano are controf freaks supreme. Its a game of take a little and see if you can take more next time and they are getting confident they can take bigger bites. Obama seems to care less about substance and more about the way it looks so what you see coming out is offical blandness and the same old same old. Fear card and scary people, just a little more sharpened.
Its part of a progression. If next election Obama loses to a republican then it will continue. The most bad part is its gotten wired into the system after the patriot act and the basis is laid to grow bigger control. This if the most visible test they've had and the sell has to be careful but appear that they "won" for the next step. Expect things to be bolder regardless of what party is in office once its wheels have started spinning.
As for the you tube vids, except for the scary looking ax, I saw all that on tv news clips. And this ax is visible on wall of the crew compartment so its not like its a secret. But its a big example of why not to embarres or point out flaws. Good for him saying he didn't expect the reaction too, since I'm sure there are plenty who wouldn't.

...and by revealing the information, the pilot actually did more to tell us, and the clueless TSA what problems need to be fixed.
And instead of being thanked, he is being punished. It boggles the mind. In a sane world, of course, higher-ups at the TSA, and at the Department of Homeland Security would be forced to answer for the huge security lapses documented in the pilot’s video. But we do not live in a sane world.
