FYI, If anyone wants to see how common this event (worldwide earthquakes) is, check out this list from the last 30 days: http://neic.usgs.gov/neis/qed/
As a San Franciscan, I have this website in my bookmarks & check it frequently... just a part of life here in "Quake City!"
Indeed, I did not get what is funny about that, I still don't even now that you have told me it is supposed to be a joke
Every day there are earthquakes around the world, often multiple quakes daily in fault-line areas (like where I live)... so while it looks catastrophic when you display them all on a screen, it's actually a common event. A bit obscure, I know - but it's playing on people's paranoia.
Apparently almost everyone here missed the humor of this thread... it was a JOKE, people!!
Poe's Law is in play here then.
"Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is impossible to create a parody of Fundamentalism (or any crackpot theory) that SOMEONE won't mistake for the real thing."

I had not watched the entire video, but I went to one of those sites. If all the locations listed there had reported such activity as shown in the video, there would be something global going on. It does not have anything to do with paranoia as it cannot be ruled out that there might be such global events.
In my opinion it is simply not funny, and I doubt the makers of the video wanted it to be funny, if so they simply failed. Seems more like the product of a dull person with too much time
