And, meanwhile on another thread, someone was complaining about Russia selling stuff to Iran when, all along, Dick Cheney's buddies who were doing it too.

Let us not forget General Electric and the technology they sold to Iran until they were outed by FOX and Bill O'Reilly.

Two billion in trade spread out over a year with several countries is a laughably small amount of money. Two billion is what we spent every week in the Iraq war. A pallet with 2-billion on it disappeared from a US forces runway in Baghdad.

Please supply us with a complete list of every country in the world in which you think the USA should have absolutely zero in trade, not one cent.

These are countries that we are not supposed to be trading with.
Only humanitarian aid is supposedly allowed.

So saying they are on a blacklist and we imposed sanctions is not true.

As long as they can pay money..no country is evil to a corporation.

These guys can actually bypass sanctions with government permission.

Well we can't have Iran collapsing, who else will play the role of evil villain in order to justify massive Offense spending budgets or keeping the American people afraid of some great peril to their existence?

Human beings are incapable of living in peace, because their nature dictates that they are acquisitive, ambitious, competitive, and jealous; they soon tire of what they have, and pine for what they have not; and they seldom desire anything unless it belongs to others.

To the extent that there are those human beings more inclined to peace, they are generally run rough shod over by those more aggressive and assertive which are driven by greed. As a survival strategy this worked great during the neolithic age and even into the early classical period but since our species survival is assured, these impulses are placed towards desires instead of needs.

If Iran didn't exist, then it would be Russia, if Russia didn't exist, then it would be North Korea, if N Korea didn't exist, it would be (enter name of choice here) and so on and so on.

Yes, of course. And Nazi Germany was also some evil that the warmongers created so they could satisfy their greed. To you there are no fights worth fighting. No evil big enough to resist. Only "neocons" and the "aggressive and assertive" pulling the wool over everyone's eyes. Fooling us into believing that there are regimes in this world which do not believe in peace. Iran, N. Korea? Just fuzzy, gentle, little teddies.

Neo-isolationism is a disease which was prevalent 70 years ago. A few are still suffering from it.

Not nearly as many gutless cowards pining for wars for others to fight because they lack the honor or the stones to put their money where their mouth is.

"I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, more vengeance, more desolation. War is hell." - Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman

After looking at your long posting history, it is apparent that there is NO evil that would give you "the stones" to support military action to resist it.
That is the essence of isolationism. It resulted in tragic consequences 70 years ago. It would do so again today.
