She is not an elite out of the beltway of Washington DC, so she is rubbing all the beltway Republicans and Democrats the wrong way the same as Ronald Reagan did.
Of course she is. I'm not fooled by all the "you betcha" nonsense. She's just as much an elitist as any Washington insider. Hell, she IS a Washington insider!
Comparing Palin to Reagan, as a neutral to a couple of conservatives Reagan is way ahead of Palin.
A very well read man Reagan and smart with it, ask him what newspapers he read and you would have got it chapter and verse.
When Palin supporters try and compare her to Baroness Thatcher, it is ridiculous, Palin had the education or the ability to become a Barrister ?
They let that North Pole dancing genie out of her bottle, and she ain't going back in without taking the party down with her.

She attracts, embodies and crystalises everything that's wrong and UNELECTABLE about the far right and attaches that to the GOP.

Here's a look at the recent criticism, in reverse chronological order:

If Sarah ran, they would have to have "special" questions just for her during the debates.

Sarah Palin has absolutely no chance of being elected President and if, by some miracle, she were to get the Republican nomination she would lose in a landslide. Intelligent Republicans understand that which is why they are saying it now. That way, the Republican party has time to find a candidate that can offer a real challenge to Obama.
John McCain and the GOP created a monster, or a gift that keeps on giving depending on which side of the fence one is on.

John McCain really caused a major problem for the GOP by selecting this most pathetic of people to be on the GOP ticket in 2008. Palin nearly as pathetic as John Edwards, and absolutely no business being outside Alaska. She has no business even considering a run for the White House. Quite the delusional airhead she is! The GOP will be annihilated if she is heading the ticket.
The continuing presence of Palin speaks volumes about the very, very sad state of the GOP as it exists today. If they expect their party to survive, prominent GOP members must speak out against this folksy imbecile in a dress.
