I am not advocating putting poor parents in a gas chamber! I am saying that if they knowingly can't afford to support a child they shouldn't reproduce and expect the taxpayers to support their kids for 18 years.
The Nazi era eugenics program had totally different goals compared to what I favor. The Nazis were trying to create a master race. I am not motivated by race, religion, or any type of quest for perfection. It's all about economics to me.
Of course I'm fully aware that we will not steriize welfare parents. That's not going to happen! Instead we reward them with even more generous welfare benefits for each new baby. While liberals may love this it will eventually cause the entire system to collpase.
What about those who could afford to breed & had something devastating happen to them & their circumstances & then became poor?
I am beginning to believe there are better things we could 'cut off' on certain folks to address certain problems.
Like I said I feel compassion towards this group. They were playing by the rules and by no fault of their own became the victim of poor circumstances. I have faith that they will bounce back and eventually land on their feet.
Yea... if the poor were so downtrodden and so oppressed like some say, why are they all getting fat welfare checks and Medicaid? Pray tell. Being a burden to society by breeding and taking is totally not comparable to being oppressed for being of a certain ethnicity, religion, or political persuasion. Being a burden to society by having multiple kids on purpose (not if you were a victim of chance) is a definite vice and there is no way you can use them for some greater political cause. There are poor people all over the world who are truly oppressed and who deserve to be supported in their causes, but unfortunately the ones in this country have more freedoms and benefits than the average citizen....
I think people who breed excessively should not receive any welfare. They should learn how to control their birthing habits of their own free will, either by IUD, vasectomy, tubal ligation, birth control pills, or plain old abortion. Because that's the same control that the rest of us exhibit by using birth control and abstinence.

Then you should not have even suggested what you did, being Jewish you should know where seemingly innocent programs can have much more sinister goals. Oh, just so you know, I am against increasing welfare payments for children born while the mother is already on welfare.

I recently read that there is a childhood poverty epedemic with 1 out of 5 U.S children living in poverty. Now I realize the economy has been bad for quite some time. I'm sure there are a great number of parents who were doing fine when their children were born and have since fallen on hard times. I feel compassion for them.
However I feel contempt towards parent(s) who are dirt poor, still decide to bring children into this world, and then go on every welfare program from A to Z. These parents are not victims. They are not only responsible for their personal situation they are also to blame for our nations exploding deficit disaster.
I just wish we would address this problem with solutions such as cutting off welfare, forced adoption, forced sterilization etc.

No doubt. These people must really be insecure or something.
Not insecurity, this has happened before in our country to those who are unfortunate enough to be poor.
We put adults into 'poorhouses' & 'poorfarms' & took their children away.
Some of those poorhouses early in the 1900's are now prisons.
It started with getting the masses of people angry at the poor & we are doing it again with the "welfare queen". nonsense.
Oh even forced sterilization was proposed then as well......my how history repeats itself.
Ya, but I get the feeling that these hate spewing posters think it's just fine if RICH people have children, even if they're pedophiles, beat or neglect their kids, have no interest in parenting...as long as they have christian's TRUE GOD, MONEY, it's OK.
There is a lot of hate spewing and an awful lot of inaccurate generalizations especially in more challenging times. It is indeed a challenge to find / recognize the truth and to act in an acceptible fashion.
Some incredible people come out of abject poverty while many total sh*theads come from affluent homes. But I guess statistically these are exceptions and that is why the stereotypes thrive.

Because they can't afford abortions, and don't know how to cause miscarriage through chemical means.
The more children you have in the 3rd world, the better off you are. It's not the same. More help in the fields, more money from older children in the city, more chances for your child to go get an education.
I do see your point where children can become resources especially where there are few alternatives. At the same time, isn't there is empirical proof that birth rates rise in less educated areas largely due to knowing any better or even being aware of alternatives?
