My wife has one, mine is completely different though and the original from the day of my birth. My wife was adopted, hers has her adopted parents as the birth parents and the location of birth is not the place of her birth yet it is a COBL like any other. /shrug
I'm sure we've all heard the new Hawaiian Governor proclaiming he is going to put the "birther" story to rest by providing more information about obama's BC.

It would be so simple for obama to order the Hawaii governor to release the LF BC.....wouldn't it?
The President shouldn't release his birth certificate at all now. Mainly, because it ticks the right wing off, which is reason enough for me. Secondly, if he gives in to every crackpot on the right (which is most right wingers anyway), he'd never get anything done.

Like heck! If the records didn't show something sinister, they'd be rejected as forgeries. You guys have just played this game too long. Everyone knows the birthers' angles.
Katiana has hit the nail on the head and nothing else needs be said on the issue. Birthers don't want long form birth certificates or transcripts or anything like that. What they want is for their most damaging suspicions about Obama to be confirmed, and they will overlook anything and everything until they get to that Holy Grail of slander fuel as invalid and/or irrelevant.
So the liberal media helps initiate the orchestrated ouster of Obama under the guise of actually supporting him. Obama is running out of allies. I guess as long as he signs what is handed to him and says what he's told to say, he's okay. But they've taken notice that his clout with the american people has fallen dramatically. That precedent is already set. President Obama has released absolute legal proof of his status as a natural born US citizen.
Such a requirement is fully within the purview of the Congress to establish should they so desire. To this point they have not so chosen.
You know, HDude, I always wondered why that piece of paper was inserted in the Obama website well before many if any questioned his citizenship. It made me wonder if there was a question and then when it was taken down so abruptly for so little reason that made me worry even more. Do you know why it was there in the first place?
