All the Programs and agencies dictating policy, what has actually worked?

I'll start:

The bill of rights, works.

None of them. Any program executed by humans (especially a lot of them) is flawed.

The military have been the only part of government that has been good at it's job. We are great at killing and breaking things.

After that you want a smaller part-time government because the way it is currently run is like crack heads on a spending binge.

The military runs the military.

Then why did congress just pass the repeal of DADT?

I would agree with you, but because of this....you are wrong....

The military should be run by the military...nobody else....congress should have no bearing on what or how the military acts....

The Congress is responsible for the allocation of funds for the military. That is a very powerful responsibility.

Department of Transportation, department of energy...Most government agencies work, otherwise we wouldn't have any services provided and have a standard of living closer to Chad. The military needs oversight, so no...it shouldn't be left up to its own devices.
