I don't think both should have been away at the same time. We discussed this on the Jersey board. Delaware or Rhode Island could have invaded or something and we would have had no leadership.

But as far as the snowstorm went, it's not as though either of them were going to get out and plow or shovel the snow, so what difference did it make.

How dare Christie! He creates the snow storm from hell (probably from all of his backyard BBQ's over the Summer) and then abandons NJ for some family play in Florida. Typical conservative, and GOD dang, he's even a family man!!! Has he no shame? Those Republicans are so devious it's almost scary!

Let's be honest, his mistake is cutting spending in an attempt to resurrect his state from bankruptcy.

I wish we had a Christie here in CA. Brown ran on "NO TAX HIKES to PAY CA DEBT" and just yesterday (before he even takes office) says he's going to try and get a vote out to raise taxes... go figure!

And Booker is also the Mayor. See the difference? Mayors are in charge of the overall cleanup after a snowstorm. And while it's great that he was out there helping citizens dig out, I'm sure in the greater scheme of things he himself with his shovel didn't make much of a dent in the snow. It did make the citizens happy knowing that he was out there dealing with the cleanup so kudos for him.

Jersey was hit harder than Long Island. Many places were up over 2 feet, quite a few were in the 30 inch range as well. In fact some unconfirmed reports that some areas got up to 36 inches of snow, which would be the biggest snow totals from a single storm in the history of the state.

This is a win win for the globalists. Global warming is creating all of this record shattering cold weather and a Republican Governor takes a vacation in the middle of it. It just doesn't get any better than this.

Breaking News: NY union workers may have been ordered to delay digging out (10% (#500) called in sick) in protest of the budget cuts (2 deaths attributed). Hoorah for those union supervisors.

I got about 30 inches down here in Monmouth County.
