Bloomberg is taking a beating over the snow and is no friend of the unions. If he thought he could deflect the blame he’d do it. Most media outlets are labeling the allegations as “rumors.”
The problem is that the charges, even if they are true, are very hard to prove. There’s probably no smoking gun email to members. Union leadership isn’t that stupid.
In my opinion its a little premature to accuse the unions. There are several other factors that could've played a role:
1. This time a blizzard came really early in the winter, we usually do not get this amount of snow in december.
2. It happened on Christmas and I am sure most of the sanitation workers were on holidays etc.
P.S. Why the hell the mother of the baby waited 8 f***king hours for an ambulance??? Just grab your baby and WALK to a hospital.... it can't be more than a 2 hour walk to a closest hospital... no big deal.
That's the same content as the NYPost article. It even talks about the 3 workers and 2 supervisors who told of the allegations of the slowdown.
How did it change from speculation to fact because of the URL (CNN) ?
It is nothing but pure speculation right now. NYC has been getting hammered by snow.
Nothing they city hasn't handled before.

And it is not just a coincidence that most of Manhattan looks like a blizzard never hit, especially Times Square and other tourist hot spots.
Yes, fancy that. Clean as a whistle, including the mayor's own street. This has all the fingerprints of union dirty tricks, although I think this action will backfire on them.
Let's see what happens when a few of those snow plow drivers are called in to answer for the tragic deaths, let's see how fast they turn on their union bosses, who apparently ordered them to slow it down.
My, isn't it amazing how the Left is not interested in what whistle blowers have to say?
City Councilman Dan Halloran said three sanitation workers and two Department of Transportation supervisors came to his office saying their supervisors ordered the slowdown, telling workers that "the mayor will see how much he needs us" and that "there will be plenty of overtime."
Same as what the OP links say.

The slow clean-up effort hampered morning commuters, delayed first responders and even prevented aircraft service personnel from reaching airports where 29 international flights were stuck on the tarmac for more than three hours, officials said.
