For some time now, the nation seems to be moving into a fascist state. Nearly everyone, if not everyone in politics is on the payroll of corporations, things such as the US chamber pumping unheard of amounts of money into republican candidates and issues for example the tax cut extension bill for the rich and breaks for corporations is the #1 agenda for the right, with the left reluctantly following the lead as well. Really no matter who is in power, the corporate machine keeps trucking relatively unchanged.
I've been following Ron Paul quite a bit as of late and he's been talking quite a bit of sense in how this nation as a whole, left and right are on the way to corporatism, otherwise known as fascism.

“Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power” - Benito Mussolini

Appropriate quote. We should listen to the man that invented fascism.

Our government has been bought by the people that consider it a great investment. Just look at how much government money has become private sector profit in our War machine. As these people can effectivly "vote" their own government benefits they have destroyed our Republic and our economy.

America is the world's staunch fortress of the bourgeoisie; materialistic, greedy, and little tolerance for others.
The bourgeoisie has the greatest potential for authoritarian rule. That could shift way over to the Right.

fascism is a form of socialism, which all connects to marxism, the progressives and the liberals

As an ardent admirer of Marx, Benito Mussolini (1883-1945) called his version of Marxist socialism "Fascism" Instead of nationalization--government ownership--of private business, Mussolini advocated government control of business via complete bureaucratic regulation.

""Fascism is a system in which the government leaves nominal ownership of the means of production in the hands of private individuals but exercises control by means of regulatory legislation and reaps most of the profit by means of heavy taxation. In effect, fascism is simply a more subtle form of government ownership than is socialism."" Mussolini

In a laudatory review of Roosevelt's 1933 book Looking Forward, Mussolini wrote, "Reminiscent of Fascism is the principle that the state no longer leaves the economy to its own devices.… Without question, the mood accompanying this sea change resembles that of Fascism."

..""This is a form of Socialism known as fascism, and it will be the type of world government the power elite plans ultimately to bring about and control. In this government, the power elite will control politicians who will become government leaders who will promulgate laws, rules and regulations favorable to certain transnational corporations"""....Zbigniew Brzezinski advisor to carter, clinton and obama...

"The aim of socialism is not only to abolish the present division of mankind into smaller states and all-national isolation, not only to bring the nations closer to each other, but also to merge them." Lennin

H.G. Wells was of the greatest influences on the progressive mind in the twentieth century (and, it turns out, the inspiration for Huxley's Brave New World). Wells didn't coin the phrase as an indictment, but as a badge of honor. Progressives must become "liberal fascists" and "enlightened Nazis," he told the Young Liberals at Oxford in a speech in July 1932.

"A Marxist begins with his prime truth that all evils are caused by the exploitation of the proletariat by the capitalists. From this he logically proceeds to the revolution to end capitalism, then into the third stage of reorganization into a new social order of the dictatorship of the proletariat, and finally the last stage -- the political paradise of communism." Saul alinski

"If the personal freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution inhibit the government's ability to govern the people, we should look to limit those guarantees." bill clinton

If liberals(progressives) have their way we will be under fascism

Yawn. Grow up. Learn history. Learn policy instead of listening to fast food AM radio etc. Once you are educated and mature enough, return and respond.

No one wants to define the effects of fascism.
It's like a police state...secret police, conformity, suppressing all opposition, anti-intellectual, anti-cultural, mass obedience, everybody will march in lockstep.

As much as Beck and fox news would like to have you think otherwise, Fascism/Corporatism is far right on the political scale.

The belief that fascism is far-right on the political scale is a display of lack of historical knowledge.

Two posts in this thread have provided info proving otherwise.
