So has every other plant subject to human cultivation.

If people in all states were allowed to grow some for their own personal use, do you think it might have an effect on drug trafficking?

Yep

Other than higher yields, the amount of THC per plant has remained relatively the same throughout history. There are some rare breeds that have higher potency, but they have always been that way.

And you can't overdose on THC, its physically impossible. So potency isn't a problem.

Good, you have no problem with them telling you what to do. Most of us don't like government telling us what to do.

They do in my area.

They water, spray, cultivate, irrigated pull the small leaves and male plants.

I have seen a pick-up loaded, the roots looked like small trees.

I don't believe in the 'Big Sis' turn your neighbor in kind of stuff. What my neighbor does, as long as it doesn't harm others, is not my business.

On one hand I don't want to rat someone out and ruin their life needlessly. BUUUT on the other hand, I don't need my life being ruined either. What if my neighbor pi$$es someone off and that person decides to exact retribution? I don't want my friends or family, myself or my property becoming collateral damage from (directly or indirectly) someone else's choice for a lifestyle.

In addition; if, after the fact, authorities find out that you knew of a pot garden all along and you withheld that info, it's entirely possible that you could be implicated as an accessory.

I'm actually for legalization but until that day comes, I'd do away with next-door pot gardens in some form or fashion. That sort of hobby belongs out in the middle of nowhere, not in a neighborhood. Not in mine anyhow.

The same theory would apply if your neighbor bought something else that made them prone to break ins I'm sure, correct?

If your neighbor buys a high def TV thats really expensive, then that makes them more likely to have a break in. Same thing with a nice car, etc.

Most people that grow just grow for personal use, like myself. I don't sell to anyone, so there is no one to anger.

Ok, can I call the police every time somebody goes shopping at Best Buy? I see your point, but illegal activities and legal consumer items are apples and oranges.

.
You're confusing dealers with personal users. Dealers are actually fairly unlikely to grow it in their homes, and the scenaio that you fear is much more likely to take place with someone who is dealing.

I would make my address more visible so the cops are less likely to bust down MY doors.
