As with most pseudo-scientific nonsense (alien invaders, chemtrails, etc), the story starts with somebody seeing something that they don't understand, and then they make up wild explanations as to what/how it could be. Once they've latched onto their idea, it's all over - NOTHING can bring them back, and anybody that disagrees with them is just a sheep, government shill, etc.
Those are not ships, they're Asteroids in which the largest one will hit the planet Earth first late next year and destroy most life starting with (being that this is the Politics forum) the crooked politicians and the other two will then hit Earth "just to make sure".
So live in full color the instrument of our demise in 2012.
