Boeing, Lockheed, Northrup, Raytheon, SAIC, General Dynamics, CIC, Halliburton et. al. would have to have massive layoffs if the defense budget were to be cut 20%. See...the fools never paid any attention to Dwight Eisenhower when he warned them against becoming involved in a military/industrial dependency. In his last speech in December, 1960 he outlined the urge and the consequences.

Plants would shut down and then there would be a domino effect into other supporting companies. Bad idea...especially since the financial giants and Federal Reserve just finished giving everybody a good screwing.

LOL... too true.

What is needed is a decade long study to find out where the money we are spending right now could have been better used.

And then to not follow the recommendations of the study.

Jan 2010: Obama, with no prompter and no screened questions, destroys the Republicans during their Q & A. He calls out every one of their lies and in the end, the Republicans looked so bad that they actually admitted it was a bad idea in hindsight.

If you're going to say something, make sure there aren't videos and/or transcripts everywhere that prove you wrong...

Yes, but you also said he is unable to speak without a prompter, and that has been proven false...

Bush was refused entrance to the University of Texas law school for one reason...he could not qualify academically. He was a drunk and a draft dodger and there you go bad mouthing Obama who is so much smarter than any Bush who ever lived that there's no comparison.

I loved it when Stewart on the Daily Show told him he wasn't "Elected" president.

After listening to Bush and reading about his fluff and circumstances for eight years I wouldn't take a copy of his book if it was in one of the free bins at the front of a pizza parlor.

Now if he would write the truth about his drunk driving charge and the time he and his daddy got into it while he was drunk and how the first thing he did after being elected governor of TX was get new driver's license numbers for both he and Laura or how he truly avoided serving in Vietnam I would pay double for a copy.

It is a form of socialism to funnel taxpayer money to corporations like this. It's great we have the private sector supplying the military, but it is not so great when we spend twice as much as we need.

Well...the private sector is where our last "great screwing" came from. Guess what? They worked it in such a way that none of them are going to pay for it. They worked it in a way that they aren't even going to lose money. Their bonuses were bigger in 2010 than 2008 and 2009.
