People keep saying that. And I keep saying that we have MORE sex now because of this religious belief in contraceptives. And I suppose someone else will tell me "people have always had sex" And I'll repeat the same thing again... "we have MORE sex now because of this religious belief in contraceptives" and once again someone will repeat, "people have always had sex" and I'll keep repeating until you all get it through your thick skulls... "we have MORE sex now because of this religious belief in contraceptives."
Can we please stop this merry go round??? Understand!!! WE HAVE MORE SEX NOW!
Yup, we sure do... but the flaw in your argument is attributing this solely to birth control. As I have already pointed out a few times, birth control has existed in many forms for centuries - and so have abortions. We simply have a more open attitude about sex today, and if you want to blame it on anything, I'd say the media is a bigger culprit. But I don't really care who has sex with whom or what or how many times... none of my business, and quite honestly I think Americans could stand to loosen up a bit. Have you ever been to Europe, btw?
And what if you get pregnant even though you "took protection?"
Obvious right? Kill the fetus.
How is that obvious?? I think the polling results above prove it's not so black & white... even for those of us who are pro-choice. I've already said this, but I'll say it again - I support a woman's right to choose, even though I personally would not have & will not in the future choose abortion for myself. Not all of us base our legal/political opinions on personal feelings, as we're able to step back and consider the situation from all angles. Just because I would have chosen to keep the pregnancy, that doesn't mean I think everyone else should/would make the same decision.
So I need someone to clear something up for me.
Can anyone give me an answer that is unbiased and 100% fair?
Woman does not want baby. Dad doesn't mind being a dad: It's her choice.
Woman wants to have baby. Dad does not want: He has no say and will be sued until the child is at least 18 to pay for it.
You can say "it's a woman's body!!" because you were brainwashed or feel empowered or whatever that crap is---you know it's not fair.
2 people make a baby; 2 people decide if and how they wish to raise it.
(Of course in special cases of rape and health, etc it's a different situation)

You're right, and even as a woman I can say it's not really fair... but also as a woman, I can say it comes down to a simple matter of physiology. Until that baby leaves its mother's womb, she is the ONLY person who has physical control over it. You can lock her up and force her to carry the pregnancy, but even then she'd probably find a way to miscarry or abort - not to mention the violation of civil rights.
So yeah, life ain't always fair. But is it fair that something like 90% of single parents are MOTHERS? Is it fair that a man can walk away at the first positive pregnancy test, and wipe his hands clean (often even dodging child support), while the mother is left to deal with things? Is it fair that women are called selfish (by some) for choosing to work after having a baby, and a man is called lazy if he chooses to stay at home instead? Nope, but I guess there's not much we can do about it.
My father used to have a nickname for me - INF - which stood for "it's not fair!" That was apparently my favorite mantra as a child, LOL. But I've since discovered that a LOT of things in life aren't fair, so you just have to deal the best you can.
If you've ever done a cross country road trip, and you are
in the middle of nowhere in New Mexico, and you have a
long skirt on, but you still can be seen from Interstate 10
by the truckers, you can pee standing up just fine if your a woman Such is the way if you plan ahead and
wear a long skirt
My feeling is if a woman is going to have an abortion its up to her and nobody's business.
If some of you are religious and think this is a terrible act the woman who has the abortion will face God and he will judge her.
How many of you Pro-Choice people have adopted some of the not wanted children who's parent did not want to have an abortion and gave the child up for adoption.

I didn't think so...
It's her business only? Not the father of the baby?
And let me guess, if she wants it and he doesn't.. tough for him, right?

Yep, tough for him.
If you don't want to find yourself in that situation, well, you know what they say........."Keep your **cker in your pants."
