Deputies broke the window of Harmon's SUV, shocked him seven times with a Taser, cut him out of his seatbelt and wrestled him to the ground, severely dislocating his elbow, and causing trauma to his shoulder and thumb.

Lawsuit: Diabetic 'pummeled,' shocked by Hamilton County deputies | cincinnati.com | Cincinnati.Com

At some point they found his diabetic kit.....when asked if he was a diabetic, he responded "yes". He was still charged with felony resisting arrest.

Stay classy, Illinois cops. Stay classy.

Reading that story was hard to do. That must have been horrifying.

The deputies' actions prompted a state highway patrol trooper to pull one deputy away from Harmon because he was so concerned about how Harmon was being treated. That trooper alerted his bosses to the deputies' actions.
Good for the trooper.

So much for not dressing like a rap gangster saving a black man from a malicious beating.

By the way, this happened in Ohio not Illinois.

Police departments around the country need to understand that they will be much more effective at law enforcement when they get rid of those "few" bad apples and properly screen out potential new ones in their recruiting. Psychological testing/analysis should occur on an annual basis, for starters.

No surprise that the officers are still on the job, when they belong in prison.

Tasers need to go.

It was bad enough when the pigs would just bash our heads in.

In other news, water is wet and hell is hot. The police will always have it out for black men. They're trained to profile us to save them the time of doing actual police work. Honestly... when's the last time you ever heard of this happening to a white man in a town near you? Another black man got shot 8 times by the OPD back in November because they "thought he had a gun" about 15 blocks away from me. Never mind my own less-than-heart-warming experiences with the OPD...
