"It's good news for NPR if they can get someone who is the keeper of the flame of liberal orthodoxy out of NPR," he told Fox News, which gave Williams a bigger role in the wake of his firing.
"She had an executioner's knife for anybody who didn't abide by her way of thinking," he said. "And I think she represented a very ingrown, incestuous culture in that institution that's not open to not only different ways of thinking, but angry at the fact that I would even talk or be on Fox."
Ouch!
I would think she is fairly typical of the liberal mindset, especially in the media.
I think the whole situation was disgusting-my memory sucks-wasn't she the one that said something about Juan's mental state? It is too bad she had the option of resigning-she should have been fired.
Look..no sense in crying over Juan Williams. He'll land on his feet just fine. His books do well, and he gets regular paid appearances as a contributor. In other words...he's probably loaded. If i'm gonna brood over someone losing a job, i'll do it for some working stiff out here that doesn't have much to fall back on.
Besides, it appears that he's moved on...so everyone else may as well do the same.

I think it was Shiller that said that. She is still employed, but will be without her 2010 bonus.
I thnik that the firinbg showed that it is indeed a liberal slanted view on NPR. While zi don't want any media closed down ;I do think its time for NPR and its associated stations to stop getting federal money .
