LOL...yea, that's a pretty good point although you gotta wonder how long any cosmetology school would last once it got out that they might be homophobic.
Not choosing an HIV positive student isn't homophobia. Lots of straight people with HIV and AIDS all around the world.
I can't tell you. I found the article and it brought up a lot to think about. Is it true, not true? Anything to worry about? Has anyone caught HIV from an infected person this way or could they?
My ex is a hair stylist. She was always getting cut with the scissors. Just what we need infect tons of people so that those FEW that want to be stylists don't get their feeling hurt. Not like there aren't other jobs for them to do. Especially since most people that get it participated in risky behavior. Yes there are a few that got it from bad blood transfusions, or a marriage partner that was unfaithful.
Your freedoms end where they have a serious consequences to others life, liberty and safety.

As a previous hairstylist, I have cut myself many times. I wouldn't want to be a customer of a hairstylist with HIB/AIDS. Why are we being forced to take unnecessary chances with our lives? I vote that the hairstylists with HIV/AIDS go to the places our lawmakers and their families get their hair cut and then let's see what happens. I understand that a person with HIV/AIDS needs to work to support themselves, but they don't have the right to expose others to deadly diseases. Find a job that does not expose others to the chance of this deadly disease. YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO "KILL" OTHERS THROUGH YOUR SELFISHNESS.
Do you want a HIV positive person near you with scissors? I don't, I understand that the risk of them cutting themselves, then cutting me, then our blood mixing and actually contracting the disease is about 1 in 300 million chance, but its just my luck, that'd be my lucky day.
Is anybody worried that their hairsylist might have the flu, which can kill you? Or, any one of a hundred other communicable diseases you can be exposed to by your hairsylist? Should they be prevented from cutting your hair because of it?
If your answer is, "No, I'm not really worried about those," then HIV/AIDS isn't your problem. The problem is you.

Then you better not go anywhere in a car. Your chances of dying or being injured in a car accident are MUCH higher.
