I was listing to the radio this morning and that had a Public Service commercial warning of the penalties of drinking and driving. At the end it says "Save a life, Don't drink and drive".
Since when has not drinking and driving been "saving" a life? It is the same as "save a life don't push someone into traffic".
I'm all for getting drunks off the road but telling them there saving someone is almost pandering to them. Shouldn't they say "Don't kill an innocent child by being stupid".
I suppose I'm nit picking but it sounded way to PC to be phrasing it that way.

This phrase has been used in the Public Service announcements for quite some time.

The phrase is another waste of air time. People who drive drunk couldn't care less about them and telling someone who doesn't results in another post on CD bemoaning the phraseology of a DUI announcement.

Like wise, why would anyone think I give a hoot just because I'm not purposely polluting?
