You've got that backwards. Sole proprietors have always had to receive 1099s when they provide more than $600 in services to a business.

From your link.

An accompanying resolution instructs relevant committees on how to replace the bill with twelve suggestions.

More like the 12 platitudes!

Anyway... the Republicans have a bill, they wrote it in 2009 (although it is a ***** to find a copy of it online for some strange reason). So why not introduce it, have an open debate about what their bill offers and more importantly doesn't offer vs the present legislation that has about as much chance of getting past the Senate much less the President's desk than proverbial camel through an eye of a needle.

They're throwing a bone to the base. Yes, Republicans will vote to repeal the healthcare law, knowing full well that it won't go anywhere. They're doing it to appease blood-thirsty right-wingers. Once that's out of the way, they will move on.

Now on to the repeal of Obamacare!
Yeah, right. Dream on.

A look at just how idiotic a repeal would be.

Haha. More than "blood-thirsty" RWers oppose obamacare;

RealClearPolitics - Election Other - Obama and Democrats' Health Care Plan

They WILL defund as much as they can and when they hopefully take over the Senate in 2012 (and WH) it will be done.

You mean the best in the world?

The ONLY problem with our HC system was one of costs, but even that problem was in a downward trend, before obama and the dems reversed it.

Opinion: Was Health Care on the Mend Before Reform?

Quote:
The latest figures on national health spending show that, well before reform, the nation's health care system was succeeding in slowing the rate of spending growth on its own.

According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, national health spending climbed just 4 percent last year.

Aww, poor baby. My heart just breaks for him that he doesn't want to receive a few 1099s at the end of the year and use an adding machine to total them up and write the number on a line on his 1040. Poor guy. I feel soooooooooooooo sorry for him. SUCH a burden.
Maybe you should listen more to the people and businesses that are in the business of growing jobs, listen to what a burden and COST this will put on business.

Plenty more where these came from.

Obviously, people like obama and his most ardent supporters and majority of his cabinet, who have never run a business or anything else in their lives, would never understand how onerous and burdensome this requirement is.
