Do what I do. When self-identified progressives in places like NJ, NY, MA, CA and WA, for examples, ask about living in a conservative state, I always suggest they seriously look into NC due to all of the "progress" that's occurred there due to the influx of people fleeing the aforementioned states.

Texas picked up how many seats in the House? New York lost how many?

What's the difference in the two states, where one has them fleeing and one is open for business.

Chicago...The new Detroit

This is what you get when you have a state full of entitlements along with a corrupt Democratic Government. Same things happening here but on a smaller scale.( For now )

I say we cut out all military expenditures and even all road / bridge / shipping ports improvements.

Lets see how well business's handle shipping their cargo across the country on poor and non existent roads.

Locally, we could adapt and it would be a boom as well.

So you'd rather cut essential infrastructure work over social entitlements ?
Libs sure do have their priorities in an odd order.

Business brings money into your state.
Do your social programs ?

why military or roads, why not start with npr. and all the useless idiots that are employed by npr.we have gasoline taxes that go for paying national roads. business pay fuel taxes to trucking companies to ship their goods,, those business are paying for the roads through taxes.if the government cut the road expenditure does that mean we don't have to pay fuel taxes since they would not be taking care of the roads there are so many items that are not necessary that can be completely cut off the budget Why!! why!! start with the most important ones. who does that? If I am short on cash I don't spend it at the movies or go out for dinner, no!! I save it for gas to go back and forth to work, pay my mortgage, my bills.
