Let the PassPort office offer a supplemental form for homosexuals, if deemed necessary, but forcing the huge majority of society to do away with what is and has been normal, cherished standards for a small segment of the population, whose cause is still very much debated is not right.

parent is interchangeable with both a father and a mother. a parent can be of either sex. seems like a very silly thing to worry about having to say parent and not mom, you are a parent period
If only more people concerned themselves with being good parents than what they are called on a government passport form....
Okay, so the next time you filled out a passport application, cross out "parent" and replace it with "mother".
I'm astonished by the responses to this. Some of you act as if your entire world is collapsing around you because of a change on the U.S. Passport application.
