no, I think that Mein Kampf was a book written by someone in jail.
I'm aware of history of inflation as my family went through inflation that dwarfed the Weimar republic. I'm saying that inflation was still high in the 30's and SS troops would actually shoot those who sold on the black market to help circumvent price controls. The inflation was contained before it got out of control due to territorial advances. The additional resources and slave labor from jews and gypsies helped to contain the inflation numbers. When you don't have to pay someone for work, it definitely helps to keep the currency intact.

My bad. I got the suspect's weapon confused with Rep. Giffords' opponent in the recent campaign organizing a fund raiser in which people could meet him at a gun range and shoot a MACHINE GUN "against" Rep. Giffords.
Are you suggesting he was advocating shooting her? Do you have any evidence the shooter knew of this fund raiser? People need to stop the speculation until they actually know something.
Fox News is reporting they have an internal memo from DHS that says based on Loughner's videos, it appears he was influenced or is a member of American Renaissance.
IMO, They have to be basing that supposition on more than the videos. We've all seen them and didn't see anything about this group. Stayed tuned for more today; I am sure much more will come out.

Couldn't disagree more. People who post about politics are mostly harmless, just more passionate and better informed. We need less of the violent element, most who never think about politics ever by the way.
There is a difference between being a "passionate" and "informed" person and a loudmouth idiot whose comments generally stick to idiotic sound-bytes such as, "Obama is a Socialist" or "Sarah Palin sucks" with no real substance or context. It is the latter that I am referring to.
Political discourse in this country has degenerated into people on both sides spewing venom at each other with no real discussion of issues or facts. It has just become a bunch of hateful screaming from both sides. As such, it is no surprise that a tragedy like this finally happened.
