I don't use pot and don't encourage it's use. I have to say though, I have never seen pot associated with violent behaviour. Professing atheism, the communist manifesto, burning the flag, etc, are things that are more disturbing.
Her GOP Opponent held a rally in which you got to take turns shooting at pictures of Gabby Giffords with HIM. The GOP poured millions into this thug to stir up hate. You should have seen the anti-semetic crap that was being spread abut her. They even went after her husband, the Astronaut.
How do you know that an AZ Democrat has to be somewhat conservative? That's absolutely ridiculous. I don't label myself a Democrat nor Republican, but have MANY friends who are Democrats (including those who have worked closely with Giffords) who are certainly not conservative. Please don't believe what you are fed by the media about AZ being such a right-wing state because most people here fall somewhere in the middle. I also know MANY fiscal conservatives who live here who certainly aren't gun carriers and support gay rights.

I'm not sure how AZ does their politics and views their officials, I don't live there.
In TN (although I don't live there, I have family and friends there and I'm from there), often times regardless of how conservative a Democrat has been over the last 8 years, they were still seen as Democrats by many folks that I knew. I was just saying that if AZ is anything like TN, then the only label people notice is the D or the R at the end of their names.
For those who know anything about the law - the judge didn't have the right to prevent anyone from suing anyone else as long as the jurisdictional and venue requirements were met. Presiding over a case in and of itself does not mean he takes an opinion on the political issues.
Please, when Bristol Palin received death threats by an unknown, it was YOU that suggested it must be a leftie. You are such a hypocrite. Take off your blinders.
I do think in the end, that the Judge was in the wrong place at wrong time, but we do have to keep into consideration the comments from the "murderer" stack up more into what would be a vendetta against the judge than the Congresswoman.
The judge was under Federal Marshall protection for death threats against his and his wife's life not very long ago.
It must surely be investigated, but it may turn out to be coincidental.
I am disgusted by hypocrites that don't see that both sides do it.
Remember the woman that asked Palin why she quit in Alaska? The right bloggers were all over her. Accused her of being a whacko liberal and that she lied about being a teacher (truth was, she was a teacher).
Put off your blinders. There are idiots on both sides. What you do is you pick the bad ones on the left side and ignore the bad ones on "your" side.
