Well if Christian Americans can't display their religious symbols, then why should everyone else from every other part of the world believe they have the right?

If people of other religions at this school can bring their religious garb to school, it should be allowed. If not, it shouldn't. Legislation like the one in NYC where Kirpans are allowed if they're secured and made impossible to draw should make those worried about the safety issue happy.

It is a small dagger - not a sword or a sabre - but it should be banned from schools.

I see crosses being worn in every school by students and other religious medals (St Christopher's etc). Students have prayer groups in many schools. Some of the schools even rent their auditoriums to hold religious services on weekends. There is no lack of Christianity in America, only a lack of Christians.

Yeah, kids can get suspended in some areas for just having a Swiss Army knife in their car if it's parked on campus.

We can't make special exceptions for everyone...We have freedom of religion, but we have laws and restrictions that while we might need agree with, everyone is expected to follow. If a Sikh flies on a plane in the US(or anywhere else), they can't carry a knife on their person obviously...

Okay, I'm a member of the Church of the Gun and need to carry a gun as part of my religion. Will that work in the schools?
