sure thing, that works for me.

so when does the goverment disarm itself?

crooks wont be disarmed as long as they are let out of prison early, so that wont work with felons.

registering firearms, banning certain types of firearms because of how they look or how many rounds magazines hold and disarming mean the same thing to me.

Same old story. Every time something like this tragic event happens those wanting guns out of our society scream for more controls if not outright banning. While at the same time the gun owners scream that someone is trying to take their guns away and that they should be able to own anything from a deer rifle to small nuke.
Now the reality, we are Not going to lose our right to own guns and guns will never go away in or society, Period. Even if guns were outlawed, which they won't, there are countless Millions of guns already on the streets and no way to get rid of them. I have no problem registering my guns and trying to make sure wackos do not get them legally, but, no, I will not give mine up and neither would Millions of Americans. Get used to the idea guns are here to stay.

A complete red herring. Nobody has pretended for a second that there is any such thing as a perfect solution to any problem.

If you are interested in a serious discussion, perhaps you should keep your arguments somewhere in the neighborhood of meaningful.

Perhaps you are projecting. I have said nothing about how I feel.

Nope.

I further haven't even mentioned a gun ban. I do not support one.

How does one "prohibit a group?"

By banning them from possessing a firearm....

Such as felons.
