Exactly... clearly some people here missed the POINT of Obama's speech, and decided instead to harp on how the crowd (of mostly college kids) reacted. But maybe it's a futile attempt?

This would of course mean we won't see any more posts by you pointing fingers correct?

You can bet they are checking their poll numbers today after acting on Rahm Emanuals advice to "Never let a good crisis go to waste". Boehnor did the right thing by staying as far away from that despicable stunt as possible.

So, are the far righties against the t-shirts or the message on them? I think it is the message the far right is against, they do not want to be together, they are welcome to leave any time they want, no one will miss them.

I'm pretty sure we all know just WHO starting pointing fingers and making it a political issue before the blood even dried on the pavement.

Just really, really unseemly and tacky.

I think this is worse than the Wellstone memorial, which was turned into an ugly partisan affair.
No matter how you feel about Obama's politics, you must have noticed that he is always well behaved and classy in public. He and Michelle seemed taken aback by the cheering, etc. at first. After a while, they seemed like the felt they should join in somewhat.

Until you KNOW who set up this event, don't blame the President, who went there to console the victims' families. It seemed like he did a very good job of that.

Why do we need T-shirts for this? Why spend the money when we are $14T+ in debt? It's a memorial. There should be no message - only honor to the victims.

As most of us have said, Obama's speech was good but the issue is indeed the disrespectful behavior of the audience.
