NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Foreclosures were at a record high in 2010, and more than 1 millionpeople lost their homes, even as notices started leveling off during the end year.
In total, there were nearly 2.9 million foreclosure notices filed during the year, according to report released Thursday by RealtyTrac. That was a record high, but just 1.7% above 2009.
Maybe people should stop blaming the govt. and realize it's their own fault... You know that phrase, "live within your means," comes into play on this one. You just don't buy things you cannot afford. Period.

You don't think being the incredibly high unemployment rate might not be helping?

Oh gosh, should I really touch this?
Obama and the democrats don't know what that phrase means.
What happened to that program of obama's that was meant to help people stay in their homes?
Oh that's right! I think about 75% dropped out of it.

Very true. Too bad government assists in the downfall by manipulating the economy and not allowing the free market to work. Which sets the stage for things like this to happen. Don't manipulate the market so a drunk can get a hold of the car keys.
Since Raygun the Republicans have always borrowed instead of taxing. Most corporations are operating on more debt than capital so living within your means is a foreign concept that applies to the masses and not the elites.
Honestly, I do not feel bad for those who don't have jobs. There are jobs out there, that of which they just don't want to take. I have a good job, and heaven forbid I lose it, but if I did do you think I would be at home, sitting on my a$$ wallowing in self pity? NO. I would be applying at every Walgreens, WalMart, restaurant, etc. to fill the void until I found something in my profession. Do I want to work at WalMart scrubbing nasty bathrooms? Hell no. Would I do it to support my family? Hell yes.
