Honestly, I do not feel bad for those who don't have jobs. There are jobs out there, that of which they just don't want to take. I have a good job, and heaven forbid I lose it, but if I did do you think I would be at home, sitting on my a$$ wallowing in self pity? NO. I would be applying at every Walgreens, WalMart, restaurant, etc. to fill the void until I found something in my profession. Do I want to work at WalMart scrubbing nasty bathrooms? Hell no. Would I do it to support my family? Hell yes.
Interesting.... pay at Walmart would support your family?
It must then be a living wage....
Maybe people should stop blaming the govt. and realize it's their own fault... You know that phrase, "live within your means," comes into play on this one. You just don't buy things you cannot afford. Period.
I agree, too many people bought into crappy loans just so they could get a house even knowing they really couldn't afford it or knowing the house was overpriced. I do feel sorry for those who lost their jobs and thus lost their home but I bet the majority did the first.
I bought a home in 2004 and I know what kind of tactics were used to push loans on to people. Believe me it's not just people buying too much house, both sides helped to create this monster. I walked out of many brokers' offices because they would push certain loans and always said, don't worry you can always come back and refinance the loan.
