Yes it does matter....When your in the majority it may not matter to you but it matters to the minority.

Don't know why the word "democracy" drives people so nuts. When is the last time you heard about us bringing a "republic" to a nation. We always say that we're trying to bring democracy.
Seems to me that this mess all started during the Lewinsky scandal when Republicans were going nuts about how we had to bury Slick Willie because "we're not a Democracy, we're a Republic, which is a nation of laws!" As if Democracies are all lawless.
Ever since then, conservatives can't seem to get enough of this silly argument.
Who cares. America is a Constitutional Republic to be exact.
