Well, according to this, they DO age norm, though they may not call it that:
Minimum Fitness Requirments for Each PFT Event - Males
Age Pull-Ups Crunches 3-Mile Run
17-26 3 50 28:00
27-39 3 45 29:00
40-45 3 45 30:00
46+ 3 40 33:00
Marine Corps PFT Classification Scores - Male and Female
Class Age 17-26 Age 27-39 Age 40-45 Age 46+
1st 225 200 175 150
2nd 175 150 125 100
3rd 135 110 88 65
I verified that through usmc.mil and I'll be - you're right. Don't recall that was the case when I was in. I disagree with it though. I'll have to ask hubby about it. He also taught at SOI (School of Infantry) so he would be more aware of the policies than I was in Intel.

Do they gender norm the individual PFT events too, as the Army does? I notice that what I posted was the standard for "males," which would indicate there is different standard for females.

LOL I did some time in Dam neck. Back when it was surrounded by pig farms on about 3 sides and the ocean on the other. LOL at least it smelled that way.

I remember being 35, and had to do more that these snotnosed 18yr olds...its the nintendo generation, they are just not in shape

I honestly had NO idea the standards change as you age. Of course, I was never one of those directly involved in administering the PFT. I simply took it.
Absolutely not , I am not really a proponent of women in the military except for support roles.....admin, nurses, etc. I do have some exception but will refrain from mentioning in this thread.
