After a full decade of research, a team of Swedish scientists has confirmed that no matter how many guns a man owns, his penis will remain small and insignificant.

Ah, the old Freudian: "He must own guns to compensate for a small penis because Freud said that men who are obsessed with a phallic object use it as a substitute for his penis."

Luckily two can play that game. Freud also said that fear and dislike of weapons was also a sign of having a small penis (an eight inch pistol reminds them of how small their penis is in comparison) and a sign of sexual inadequacy.
So you have an agenda against gun owners because they make you feel like less of man (and if you are a woman, Freud said you wanted to be a man deep down anyways). Seeing them walking around with their thick shotguns and long rifles and robust revolvers make feel self-conscious about your lack of manhood, so you feel the need to castrate men to make yourself superior to them. You have taken away their (figuratively) hulking penises and you feel better about your little "pinkie".
Gun ownership is strictly regulated in Sweden. An experienced hunter is allowed to own a maximum of six guns; less experienced hunters may own only 4 guns. All gun owners must be registered and every gun purchase requires a new license from the local police authority (which costs about $20). Pistols and revolvers are very difficult to obtain a license for, and active membership in a registered shooting club is required.

My bad, you are correct. I was thinking of the Swiss where the crime rate is extremely low despite the fact that every adult male is required to have a weapon, either a fully automatic rifle, handgun, or both apparently.

That is also a pro-gun website. The point of that page is to make sure anti-gun control arguments remain truthful. The other pages still argue for the validity of gun ownership.
420,000 fully automatic weapons in Swiss private hands (oops, "militia") for a population 7.6 million people. Thats a higher rate then the US semi-auto "assault rifles" (around 4 million from some sources, around 1.5 during the ban).
Either way, the Swiss aren't running around having "wild west shootouts" due to F/A being in the hands of normal people.
Japan has the strictest gun control laws in the developed world, and the lowest crime rate...What does that tell you? It tells me that there is direct link.
Let me give you a direct link .... every brutal dictator in history who ultimately murdered millions of their own citizens FIRST disarmed them .. everyone one of them.
The 2nd Amendment ... contrary to Maddow's liberal progressive bunk ... was instituted by the founding fathers for defending against tyranny ... not hunting and not protection from common criminals. Maddow claims this is an extremist, radical view. And it is hacks like her to which the constitution refers to as "domestic enemies". She is the radical leftist who hates the constitution, and anyone considering that slime ball to be worthy of anything other than being run off the air should be shouted down for who they are too. There is no room in the boat of liberty for those who would choose to drill holes in the bottom of it.
ANY cursory study of the subject reveals this clear position to which the founding fathers made no attempt to hide. "A well regulated militia (well armed and trained common people) being necessary to a free state (maintaining liberty from enemies foreign or domestic), the rights of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed".
Thomas Jefferson said: "When the people fear the government, there is tyranny". When the government fears the people, there is liberty.
The naive, childlike mentality that the people don't need the means to defend themselves ... believing that the government will do it for them, have absolutely no understanding whatsoever of history, or of the crimes to which governments are capable and have frequently committed, and such stupidity is a clear danger to everyone's liberty, and as such, are their own worst enemy.
The more knowledgeable, wise minds among us must defend against such naive mistakes, including defending the childlike from their own childishness.
