It makes sense to people who are familiar with what Wall Street and the mortgage industry did to drive us into recession. Have a good evening. God bless.

He will make a mint on speaking tours after the election the way all other Presidents have.
He may also be given lots of money by all the companies he had us bail out.

Such statements show that you really are just pounding your partisan chest .. the Republicans and Democrats are both responsible ... this "i didn't do it ... he did it" game has been played to DEATH ... and still ya just don't get it!

It was under the Clintonista regime that both parties participated in the repeal of the Glass-Steagall act which ultimately provided the means for the financial looting that has that left us in crisis today, and I think less than a dozen congress critters voted against that action.

Really ... stop allowing the media and this false Democrat versus Republican nonsense lead you by the nose like a kid at Disneyland.

Obama is puppet ... so was Bush ... and all the rest of them. Period. If McCain was the President ... or Mr. Hillary, it would be the same thang!

Ummm.... you should really read the entire conversation before butting in with false accusations. My whole argument was that the problems were both liberal and conservative. The person engaged in the discussion was trying to pin it on just the Fannie / Freddie problems, and I was simply pointing out that the mortgage industry and Wall Street had a hand in the problem that Republicans ignored when they had absolute control.

I can't think of any other president even remotely as popular in the world as him...what do you think?
Respected no, personable yes. I think he ranks up there with Kennedy in that aspect.

I'm kinda indifferent to Obama.

But, his star would not have risen so fast or furiously had it not been for the complete destruction of respect occasioned by a Bush presidency.

Really, the guy's accomplishments prior to and even after, being elected President don't really qualify him the amount of praise he received, but people were/are so desperate to have a seemingly smart president and alternative to the last eight years that saw the reputation of the USA's president (both the person and the office) take a nosedive.

BTW: The "Nobel prize" was a joke. Completely degrades the value of the prize that could have gone to much more worthy individuals! Obama's inspirational to some, sure, but he was also a media manufactured inspiration candidate -- not someone who has been in the trenches of persecution and peacemongering!
