Everyone seems to put Indians aside but I have seen a high number of Indian doctors where I live. My friend attends Georgia Tech and he says it is full of Indians and a guy I know who used to live in Cambridge said that Indians were extremely common in MIT and Harvard.
For being LESS THAN 1 PERCENT of the population, I think Indians have done something right or Indian parents have raised their kids right. So why does everyone want to ignore our accomplishments and cast us into the shadows?
The bigger question is why do you give a damn what other people think about Indian Americans?
Another thread about being Indian?
At least this one isnt about "Whaaaaaaa, I cant get a date!"
There are at least 100 different active threads, do you ALWAYS find ways to sneak in to one of mines? Do I appeal to you that much!? You are just a tick lady!
Anyways to the female Indian user: I remember in middle school I had beatings for making an 89 but then in high school my parents eased off. Wish they hadn't, instead of a 4.0 I had a 3.5 GPA. I could have been at Harvard right now...
I could not just throw a tantrum and run away like my white friends did and have their parents crying for them to come home. If I got mad at my parents, I'd get a smacking and then they would tell me they don't care I am mad and get over it.
LMAO, sorry but I can relate on so many levels. That's funny as hell.

You appeal to my sense of the ridiculous.
Anyway, I have had several Indian design clients in Florida.
There is a large community, most are highly successful, and eager to assimilate and make a difference in the community.
They are highly respected in the community, and oddly enough, and dont seem to be sitting around whining that they are discriminated against.
But then again, these are adults I am speaking of, not whiny teenagers.
I always thought it was White people who were the richest.
Whites are not a minority in the US........yet.
