Oh yes they can. If someone issues death threats, they can detain that person for 72 hours for mental health evaluation.

You mean the shooting victim who is clearly suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, right?

I mean the man who told another person they were dead for not agreeing with him.

The man who was recently shot in a massive bloodbath that traumatized the entire community, to say nothing of the actual victims, themselves, right?

It's amazing to me that you give the guy a pass for PTSD not confirmed by a mental health specialist.

I thought the only person guilty of these shootings was the shooter?

Can we see some evidence to support the allegations made in the OP, please?

I gave him a pass? When did I do that?

Involuntary commitment is done all the time by law enforcement when they deem that a person is either a danger to themselves or others.

Law enforcement also stopped this guy in his car earlier in the day.

And the Sheriff didn't have a single Deputy to protect an elected official in public.

Even the University of Arizona's football coach gets a couple cops on the field!!

Let's stick to the topic, which is the responsibility of the Pima County sheriff's office.

It is amazing the sheriff didn't have a least a presence at this event she had some threats and vandalism in the past.
