The Pima county Sheriff's office had received reports that Jared L, the Tuscon shooter, had made death threats to people but chose to take no action stating that the perp was under mental health care (not true). IMO, the deaths in this act of violence were preventable if the sheriff's office would have taken some action.

Guilty? No
Whats questionable is how prepared they were for the event. What troubled me most is that the Sheriff admitted knowing about death threats against the congresswoman, but he never mentioned what security protocols were in place.
They may very well have done all that they could do within the law but he certainly didn't pause from his slanders to mention anything about it.
The sheriff's office should of taken some action about the death threats. In this political correct / sue happy era that we live in what do you expect. If everyone is going to sue because of a police investigation that was brought on by a suspension or threat, there hands are almost tied till a crime is actually committed. So the p/c police should take some of the blame also.
The action of declaring this person a danger to himself and/or others. It happens all the time.
Sheriffs departments can't do that.
So... do you want to try again?
