We could keep you busy with updates on shooting in Houston....

Or do those people NOT count?...

I too wish her a full recovery, but it's not like I knew her and need a daily update....

She was the target of the whole attack, the others just were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Of course that makes her the main focus of the news reports. That's not taking anything away from the other victims that they aren't getting as much air time as Giffords. If the judge had been the target or an estrange husband had come after a cashier in the store with a gun and Giffords had been the bystander in the wrong place at the wrong time, the news reports and media coverage now would have been entirely different. I also disagree that the other victims have been ignored by the press........

She's a politician who was the victim of an attempted assassination. That's pretty important.

At any rate, my post was in response to the OP's comment, which did seem sort of coldhearted.

I am hoping she makes a full recovery. The constant news of any event gets to me however. I would like periodic updates and then cover the celebration of her release from the hospital.

Agreed. I'm sick of hearing about her "recovery". To be quite honest I couldn't care less if she died or lived. She is of no importance for me or anyone I know. I guess people need to replace their celebrity gossip with something.

Wow. This OP is revolting. The woman was shot in the head serving her constituents. But, you know, American Idol's coming back...

The movie Idiocracy comes a little more true every day.
