You must take a drug test...if you fail it will be reported, that will then preclude you from possessing a firearm.

I believe that is due to privacy laws....

Are you trying to make a point of some sort here? In the scenario you describe, it is illegal for him to purchase a firearm.

No new bans on any weapons on the part of Governor Brewer or any one else were needed.

Of course it would have. You cannot just ignore the federal firearms laws on the books. Please, read the BATFE form 4473 and the Brady Bill (law) before writing such inaccuracies. Google them yourself.

You're spouting non-sense. When you go purchase a firearm the federal form you have to fill out asks if you've been involuntarily committed to a mental institution. If you say yes, you can't purchase the firearm as per federal law

I didn't say I commit gun felonies, just felonies.

I'd wager to bet that more people have done so, either knowingly or unknowingly, than you think so.

"Some authors have asserted that the average American professional will commit three federal crimes every day, without even realizing it. The book, “Three Felonies a Day†explains that there is so much new legislation every year, and it is so ambiguous, that federal prosecutors can interpret the laws broadly and without regard to criminal intent."

Yeah, again. I joined the service, served my time and got out. I was under the influence of Marijuana the whole time.

There are ways around drug tests grasshopper.

No need for a vote.
I might be wrong on this, but I believe the NICS system is administered by the FBI, not F-troop.
