Several family members have stated he was not born in the USA.
This is a Birther lie that never dies. No family members have ever said this.

Not a single record of his or his wife's is hidden by anything other than the same exact laws that already protect yours and mine.

Like McCain? Who when sued to provide his birth certificate (three times) did exactly the same thing as Obama... refused to provide a copy and successfully moved to have the cases dismissed.

Have we seen a short form COLB as it was issued in 1961 by Hawaii?
no, because such a document did not exist at that time. birth certificate formats change over time. as far as i know this is true for all states. the hawaiian COLB still meets all the requirements of the US state department for proof of birth.
wrench, what state were you born in ? what would your state release if you said you lost your original BC?

I was born in Illinois. What they'd issue now - I don't know. I'm never going back. Plus I still have the original photostat copy given to my parents when I was born. In all my wanderings all over in my lifetime, hurricanes, tornadoes, fires, burglaries, etc. I still have it. It was important enough to keep safe.
