I certainly hope Obozo must produce his long-form birth certificate to prove he is a "natural born citizen" and eligible under the U.S. Constitution to be POTUS.
I don't think he can - never have thought he could... I've always thought he was a radical left-wing fraud that skunked stupid people.

but it's not the only way, as demonstrated by congress' acceptance of mccain's eligibility. contrary to popular belief military bases are not "US soil" and congress didn't grant US citizenship to those born in the canal zone till the year after mccains birth.

That's always been my take on it but I'd like to see the guy step up and release any documents regarding his past, including schools and grades. It's the President, not the janitor... Or is it?

The point wasn't whether the Bushes maintain a residence in Houston. They maintain multiple residences. As people who are rich and powerful often do. Your argument was that the Bushes were not a rich and powerful family. That was a false argument.
I started reading the comments after the article and the number of people that do not know what a natural born citizen is amazes me.
I really found it interesting that false information was given out in a child's civics class. I think there is a lot of wrong information posted on this thread too. Some of you that do not know that the American president has to be loyal to this country only has never read the constitution. That is what having the president be a natural born citizen was all about in the first place.

I read somewhere that checking the passport records of his parents at that time would bring the proof of where they were when he was born. I think the truth about this will come out some day.
Your problem, and the birthers' problem, is that the STATE of HAWAII affirms that Obama was born in Honolulu, on American soil. The birthers' keep trying to challenge Obama to prove it, but they have no case unless they can successfully challenge HAWAII to change its assertion. And that's really a dead end. There is a birth certificate that has been issued by Obama, there were newspaper announcements, and there is a history of documentation attesting to a Honolulu birth. The truth is already out.

The Arizona law is meaningless. You can line up people who say there is no Hawaiian BC all the way to the moon, but as long as the STATE of HAWAII affirms that Obama was born in Honolulu, it doesn't matter. As I told NCN, the challenges to the President are pointless. As long as the STATE of HAWAII officially and unequivocally claims that Obama was born there, there is no basis for a challenge. And Arizona has no choice but to accept the word of the STATE of HAWAII. It has no grounds to do otherwise.
How can Hawaii 'claim or affirm' that the O'men was born in Hawaii when there is absolutely no proof whatever. No BC, no mother, no father, no eyewitness. Just bald faced claims...
