China would still be back in the stone age if it wasn't for the US cold war mentality (Nixon and Kissinger) and the corporate whores nowdays. China's (and India's) 'success' was more built by the US funneling money and technology rather than by the Politburo commies or their intristic qualities as a society. We've only got ourselves to blame.

How much pressure can you exert on the coiuntry with one of the largest consumer markets in the world? That's the difference between South Africa and China. It's also the diffference between the 1970's and 1980's and today. The world will not let its principles get in the way of making a whole lot of money.

Not exactly a brave position. Also, who is China's largest trading partner? Who is the largest importer of Chinese goods?

Wow Is your house 100% free of Chinese products? If not, you sponsor them. You realize that, right? Let the government handle it, right?

I thought conservatives favored less government? I think you might object because you're clearly calling for more. And to answer your question, the government should be focused on America's problems, more than enough to keep it busy.

You're not suggesting they spend a dime? What then? Meaningless talk? Are you really so naive as to believe China's President doesn't know what goes on in his own country yet we do?

This is why I have so little respect for the alleged values of the right. They have no problem telling Americans with problems to go pound salt, the government shouldn't intervene yet they also have no problem claiming we should intervene on behalf of the Chinese people.

America and Americans First!

It's all about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

You don't fight wars with one of your largest trading partners. The CEO's of America are simply not having it.

Also China has committed no acts of aggression directly against the United States.

Maybe Obama should appoint one of the Walton family as a special envoy to China and charge them with cracking down on China's human rights violations. Let's see how that works out.
