Maybe in the U.K., but do you think that would be possible in America?

I have heard you can be arrested in America for yelling profanities, but I didn't think racist slurs fell into that category.

On the other hand, I bet the laws against profanities are state laws.

The UK is not America. Luckily we have (to my knowledge) no laws against inciting hatred and hate speech in America.

Every day I am thankful to be an American.

I'm not familiar with American law to that extent.

A few years ago, I heard about some guys arrested (I think in Michigan) for cussing.

I doubt it happens very often.

PA cited 700 people in a 1 year span however they will no longer be citing people for cursing:

In Pennsylvania, cursing cops isn't a crime anymore

What a shame such alleged laws apparently aren't enforced in the UK schools:

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/23/world/europe/23britain.html?scp=1&sq=british%20muslim%20schools &st=cse

A British network of more than 40 part-time Islamic schools and clubs with 5,000 students has been teaching from a Saudi Arabian government curriculum that contains anti-Semitic and homophobic views, including a textbook that asks children to list the “reprehensible” qualities of Jews, according to a BBC documentary broadcast on Monday.
