Thats it? Really?

What about entitlements? What about Social Security?

The Republicans response to this question was "well we'll have to do that in 2013 or Democrats would stop us"

But that didn't stop them from passing a stupid healthcare reform bill just for show now did it?

They focused on the 25% of the budget that is good for something. Cutting education spending is like eating your seed corn. Yeah, you'll get through the winter, but next spring you're screwed. Same thing with infrastructure, because those projects help the flow of goods and services across the country, making our products cheaper and more easily accessed.

God forbid Republicans touch defense spending

As has been pointed out by numerous people, the TEA party isn't Republican.

Good for them. I am no TP fan, but glad to see they are not just typical republicans. Will they direct some of their firepower to the energy industry too?

Didn't say they were, just was pointing that some conservatives (myself included) do support defense cuts.

You betcha.

3/4 of a trillion is way more than enough to get by with.
