Contractors get no government bennies.
Once the job is over the contract is over and the contractor is gone.
Contracting can be good for the government. Maybe the entire government should be contractors.
That gets underfunded pensions and other benefits off the table..straight salary and use only for as long as you need them.

1099 EVERYONE !!

Holy crap, it is like the Alzheimer's merry-go-round. Every turn around it's like they have never done it before. People scream that the guberment is inefficient compared to private, then scream the private companies doing federal work are fleecing the tax payers that Feds need to be doing.

It's not rocket science to think that some one should at some point should make the novel leap to learn from the past. Instead of doing everything anew every couple years because they some how think "this time will be different"...then not realizing they are wasting a ton of time and money just switching things back and forth and really doing nothing to move forward.

"Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it" was a phrase started in Aristotle's time, and obviously over 2,300 years later and many repeated attempts few people have ever actually applied it to their own lives. It just makes me sad for humanity that people can be this damn stupid and not somehow kill themselves tying their shoes in the morning.
