Because someone already owns the right wing slant. I think Fox has a patent on that.
See this where you guys go off the rails...........Fox News hires veteran reporter John Roberts - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110103/ap_on_en_tv/us_tv_fox_roberts - broken link) I am about as far right as a morally responsible person can be........my favorite show on fox news......Greta Van Susteren......and I try to watch as many of the most "Beautiful news reporters in the business" , Just to be fair and balanced!
Well obviously you are choking on sour grapes and I understand that......but Everyon else in the Universe, wondered why msnbc was content to be bottom feeders in the ratings department, one could only assume it was because of politics then. Such is show business.
Interesting, because imo CNN is losing their base audience too.....it seems except for Fox news, no news station has a clue as to what Independents want. Its show business, but it influences people, unfortunately.
Personally I dont trust any of them after seeing how CNN kowtows to JPMorgan and Bank of America. Didnt hear much about the illegal foreclosures on veterans lately? It was merely a blip on the screen to them.
Obama is simply off topic in this thread. Why are you trying to make such a big deal HERE about Obama? There is an ample supply of "hate Obama" threads to choose from, but this is not one of them.
Many people have called Olberman an idiot in this thread. That is simply not true. I think those calling him an idiot may very well represent the "anti-intellectual" perspective.
Olberman is clearly an idiot by any measure. Describing Olberman as an intellectual is laughable.
Follow the thread to understand why Obama was brought into it.
They already tried "something else." And they were in a low third place with that "something else, and then their ratings went UP, UP, UP after they started with a more liberal perspective. They are still above CNN. DOES NOT MAKE "GOOD BUSINESS" SENSE to try to "fix something that's not broken" and try to compete with Fox. It's not about "good business" and trying to compete with fox. It's about POLITICS and the upcoming 2012 elections. The company is now being run by strong Republicans.......does it make sense that they would support opposition to the politicans who SUPPORT THEIR AGENDA? The "good business" decision was political and about who will win the elections in 2012. I'd be stunned if these comcast owners did NOT want a Republican President and a Republican dominated Senate. Wouldn't you?
Of course they want less regulations on the cable industry. They want to broaden their mononpoly. OF course, Republicans love competition, unless they are the ones having to compete. In the end, further monopoly by the cable companies will only hurt the consumer.
With Tea Party support.....ummm....since when did the Tea Party become moderate?
game player............Look at his voting record, and the juvenile threads on this forum about him turning his back on the tea party. Brown is a moderate by any standard...be serious. The point is oberman would say that about a guy like Brown......It is a degree of mental instability when a grown adult cannot control the hostility that they feel when they are losing and that is exactly what happened to olberman this year.
I don't get why conservatives think most news sources are liberal. NPR and CNN lean right, NBC and ABC are centrist, CBS and MSNBC are center-left. Just because a "news" (using the term loosely) organization is not hard right like Fox doesn't mean it's "liberal."
Good LORD - NPR leans right? What alternative universe do you live in?
