It's just a replay of voting against the stimulus and then campaigning on how much stimulus money they brought to their state. So folks just don't have any shame.

So you're saying a 2+ year recession completely turned around in less than two months after the election, especially after the lame duck session? I'd get it if you were trying to argue that extending the Bush tax cuts had an impact, if it wasn't so recent--that happened on December 17--exactly 23 days ago. Trying to take credit for a turn around in 23 days is still amazing--and still delusional....

The R's are going to have to watch themselves--they got too cocky and overconfident the last time they had a big win (under Newt) and that didn't go well for them. I think people are tired of partisan BS. If the R's had fixed things, I'd give them credit, but it just didn't happen that way. People aren't stupid.

So what else is new. What have the done so far? Me thinks nothing. Getting elected had no impact since the improvements were predicted before they were elected. Anyway same old righties, take credit for anything good, deny any fault with anything bad, problem is anyone paying attention knows the truth is something different.

So, is history repeating itself (2000)? Or, that the economy bounced back when Clinton took office?

Without a doubt. A program that the majority of present day Republicans either voted or campaigned against.
