Considering that the politicians who WROTE Obamacare made sure they were not subject to it, why is anyone surprised that the politically connected get to opt out? "One such surprise is found on page 158 of the legislation, which appears to create a carveout for senior staff members in the leadership offices and on congressional committees, essentially exempting those senior Democrat staffers who wrote the bill from being forced to purchase health care plans in the same way as other Americans." New Ledger » Exempted From Obamacare: Senior Staff Who Wrote the Bill

Our government makes rules and taxes for us Little Peons, not for themselves. If Obamacare was so great, its creators would want to be included.

I have a much better idea: let's give every American the health care insurance that politicians and high government officials get? And at the same price they pay for it. We can take the cost out of their pay and benefits. Anyone opposed to that?

That's right. If their plan is so great then everyone should have the option to join.

So, again you've answered your own argument.

People with NO healthcare are.

And medical bankruptcies that are filed have the majority of them ON healthcare plans.

They don't have the money to pay their share of the bills.

That thing called "choice" without the government dictating what you must purchase.

Rubbish.

But it is "choice" without consequences as health care is available no matter what the choice. What approach would you take to people who "choose" (or cannot afford) either no insurance or insufficient insurance?

Congress did NOT vote to exempt themselves from reform !

Quote:
This is a myth: there is no exemption and there has not been any such vote. To the contrary, reform gives all Americans access to an insurance exchange much like the one Congress has enjoyed, and just like Congress, Americans will be free to make their own choices.

No..you don't take out a high deductible plan if you do not have the money to pay what you agreed to.

How do you know who is doing it because they have to versus those that just don't want to pay high premiums ?

No. You already stated you are forced to take out a high deductible plan.

I choose to take a high deductible plan.

There is a difference.
