Forced? Then according to your logic, I should think you would want any woman who is planning abortion ne forced to watch a video of a real abortion before she decide to have one.

I think anyone who is considering abortion should be offered to watch a video of an abortion of a living human being.

GE Plans to Create 1,000 Jobs in China

On the same day that he publicly expressed concern over China’s protectionist policies, General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt announced that his company would invest $2 billion in China over the next two years, creating roughly 1,000 jobs in the process.
The company plans to invest $500 million into research and development. Another $1.5 billion will be used to invest in four separate joint ventures with state-owned high tech companies.

People who live without oil are exactly where? In the Ozarks?

I think your pipe dream is a bit premature by about 100 years.

We'll be without it soon enough anyways. Peak oil. The urban and suburban yuppie sorts will simply have to adapt or die.

I cannot imagine why we have ever had anything to do with China to begin with.

"American" corporations love China for two reasons:

1. slave wage workforce

2. almost nonexistent regulations on pollution/safety/working conditions

Corporate interests direct the government to do their bidding these days.

In reality it's getting almost impossible to - I bought a Milwaukee power tool the other day, made in China - I returned it.
