First of all, that is not true. And apart from that, the Islamic Brotherhood in Egypt has nothing to do with Iran and they do not want to establish a theocracy either, so what's your point.

We have a long and not very noble history of supporting dictators around the world. People like Batista or Marcos. Often it comes back to bite us in the butt ... like in Iran or Cuba. Democracy is all very well in the US but, overseas, other standards apply.

Ally means not overt enemy in the case of those nations....

The USA may call some nations allies but few are.
