That's because they were either attending the funeral of one of their brothers or choosing to honor his death by refraining from arguing with people who hate cops.

How that could ever warrant a "LOL" or be considered amusing is beyond me.

I would bet on the scenario not mentioned above ... they FINALLY got banned for awhile. And it certainly was about time for some of them. LOL.

PS: The last thing the deceased officer's family needed to see was a bunch of univited and unwanted anti-social freaks and weirdos from C-D showing up at his funeral to pollute the event. I am sure none of you were on the insider list. You can all keep dreaming you're more important than what you really are.

Another rating down grade will be bad for the county. Now he is wasting even more funding and time on both sides. He has stated that he initiated the law suit to protect taxpayers by preventing tax increases but the law suit will result in higher intererest rates. Even if Mangano wins the law suit he will have lost the war, this is just senseless.

"The time is at hand to address the problems," NIFA said in the legal papers. "It is the county's resistance to NIFA's statutory role that threatens the county's reputation and credit rating."
The authority said the level of risk in Mangano's budget "dwarfed" that of previous years.
Moody's Investors Service warned last week it could downgrade the county's bond rating, citing a lawsuit filed by Mangano and delays it might cause in improving the county's finances."

You're welcome that the taxpayers of Long Island are forced to grossly overcompensate you.

Signed,
Ms. Perp

PS: I don't do dishes. Not even my own.

It was a handout to the PBA that he tried to paint as making up for cancelling out the energy tax, but the outrageous costs the compensation cap removal creates outweighs any savings on the other end, not to mention it likely plays a role in increasing OT as well.

Like I said you don't have to convince me that he didn't take basic math. So may be the public should turn on him. But no, your hate of the PD and what he might do will cloud all intelligent options. Like I said dealing with any politician is like dealing with the devil. I want the union to fight all the way. Every give back is forgotten as they look for more. You best chance is a NIFA freeze. No givebacks! Hope you can live with that. I can.
