MANHASSET, LONG ISLAND

Manhasset, Long Island

Manhasset is a hamlet and census-designated place located in Nassau County that lies on the North Shore of Long Island, New York. It was once called “Snit Sink” meaning the place of various stones. As of 2000 census, there were 8,362 people, 2,831 households, and 2,185 families residing in the hamlet. The median income for a household in the town was $88,472, and the median income for a family was $104,601. Males had a median income of $65,294 and only $41,997 for females. The latitude of Manhasset is 40.797N. The longitude is -73.7W. It is in the Eastern Standard time zone. Elevation is 95 feet.

Above shows the median income for Manhasset. Yeh show me a block other than the project across the steet from the 6th Pct where anyone makes that money. No ones salary should be compared to that BS stat that prob has the rate lowered so low because of people living off inheritance, people disabled collecting tax free insurance , people living off life insurance policies, etc etc. So go tell Newsday and your local politicians about median incomes.

If we are going to compare data, can we at least compare data from the same time frame??

Manhasset is now about $105,938 median household income, $130,909 median family income, $101,176 median full time male earnings $72,542 median full time female earnings

He is a spinster about everything. His entire budget is a spin and a sham. Mangnao is a disaster much like Gullotta, and much like Gullotta in addition to the ridiculous idea that you can never increase taxes, he believes in giving the PBA handout after handout. His record in the Legislature shows this, as does his actions as CE. This compensation cap removal, which is an absolutely awful idea, and a massive handout to the Republican love fest that is the PBA.

Who is your reference? By the way still not enought to live in an area that has the four of the top 10 richest areas in the country according to Forbes. Median incomes are BS to use against what salary is correct for an area

If there was a love fest there is not more. And yes he is a hypocrite because he signed off to everything he blames on Suozzi now. And yes he took out the energy tax not having a counter plan only because of an election promise and thinking he would not win. That energy tax was part of a three part plan between Suozzi and the unions of an recurring revenue . And no matter if you think the PD and other employee make to much and even if you dont think the give backs before were enough why do you think the unions should trust any give backs when deals are made and broken. On this deal there were two years of defered checks, loss of uniform pay for about three years, loss of three holidays for three years, first 48 hours of OT at straight time for a few years and probably more. In the city the NYPD, FDNY unions traded in their own monies for the variable supplement bill 25 yrs ago and now Bloomberg calls it a holiday bonus. The unions have to deal with politicians the way I have to deal with car dealers. I wouldn't trust anything even if its signed and notorized. After this track record I would fight to the end.

Census website from the American Community Survey, which shows the updated numbers. The numbers you have pilled are from 2000. Nothing is ever going to be exact, but fact remains that Nassau cops alone make more $$$ than the average household in Nassau, with two full time workers (I would say looking at the data for median full-time male time earnings & combining it with median full time earnings is the fairest way to compare a Nassau cop to a two income household)

Thats your fact. From what I read, observe , and research thats not the case. And as for as negotiating with politicians not gonna happen either. So good luck with your facts and feelings and good luck with mine. You are not changing my mind and I am not changing yours. The difference is you will see no change till 2016 if you are lucky.
